About Our Carrier Ancestors
Hello, welcome to my Carrier family website. It has been a desire of mine for many years to find my fathers ancestors. Sadly, it wasn't until after his death that I found how easy that could be on the internet. Many other Carrier descendants that I have encountered knew of our famous, or infamous ancestors, Thomas and Martha Carrier of Billerica and Andover, Massachusetts. The incredible story of Martha having been falsely accused of witchcraft and executed failed to be passed on through my fathers family. Maybe that was in part due to the heartaches of my great-grandparents because of my grandfathers illness. I often wonder if they thought somehow it would spare their descendants unwarranted ridicule. Whatever their reasons may have been , my hope is to bring light to our family with respect and love. However, these pages tell a story of hardships and courage and how our family was an integral part of the history of this great country more than 300 years ago. From the courage of Martha in the face of death, enduring the torture of her children, the betrayal of her neighbors and family, to the mysteries surrounding Thomas, ancestors who were revolutionary war heroes, civil war heroes and many many more who make this family tree blossom. I am more proud than ever to be a Carrier. My hope is that this website shows honour to my father and all of those before him. This site is a work in progress. Please be patient and visit often as I will be adding information frequently, such as, photos, documents, stories and names. If you see any errors or if you have old family photos or a family line you would like added to this site please feel free to contact me.

Many thanks to the cousins that I have met along the way who have shared photos and information.

Also, please sign the guest book. I would like to know your thoughts and hear your comments.
